Dave Ruddy
Brass Repair Technician
Dave is our lead brass repair technician, and he studied under an apprenticeship through the Instrument Doc, and he began his career in brass repair in 2007. While Dave's primary technical skills are focused on brass, he also is trained in string repair. Dave has a history degree from Charleston Southern University. Dave has been working in the repair industry for the past 17 years, and counting.

Nathan Durbin
Woodwind Repair Technician
Nathan is our lead woodwind repair technician. He has a Bachelor's Degree in music from Illinois State University, and attended Badger State Repair and Supply for band instrument repair instruction. He also completed an apprenticeship through Badger State. Nathan has been working in the repair industry for 19 years, and counting.

Meet the future of our repair shop! Gavin is under the apprenticeship of Nathan Durbin, our lead wood wind repair technician. Gavin joined Rush's Music in 2023.
Steve Novelli
Luthier
We are so honored to work with Steve Novelli of Novelli Guitars. Along with building guitars, Steve repairs and provides guitar customizations primarily for musicians in the Knoxville and Nashville area. His specialty focuses on rare, vintage and delicate string instruments.
Steve services most fretted string instruments including but not limited to guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, mandolin, and banjo.
