Mr. Stewart Cox received a Bachelors in Music Education and a Bachelors in Jazz Studies from Indiana University, and a Masters Jazz Studies from the University of Tennessee. His teaching and playing experience includes 15 years in Chicago, 4 years in Missouri, and 20 plus years in Tennessee. He was the lead trumpet, arranger, and recording for Lee Greenwood for 5 years. He has played with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, the KSO Pops, the Knoxville Wind Symphony, the Oak Ridge Symphont Orchestra, the Symphony of the Mountains, the Johnson City Symphony Orchestra, the University of Tennessee Faculty Quintet, the Temptations, the Four Tops, Franki Valli, the Coasters, Mr. Jack Daniel’s Original Silver Cornet Band, Wayne Newton, Liberace, Mel Torme, and more. Currently the founder and leader of the Tennessine Brass
